Civil Engineer

A leading New York engineering firm with a long history of success is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team. This is a full-service firm providing Engineering, Surveying, Planning, and Community Development Services for over 50 years. With a diverse portfolio of successfully completed projects and an experienced core of project management and designers, they possess significant leadership experience and a solid opportunity for career advancement.

The Civil Engineer will work in a team environment on all types of Civil/Environmental projects including private site development and municipal drinking water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering technical reports and studies.
  • Site design and permitting.
  • Drinking water distribution and treatment design.
  • Wastewater collection and treatment design.
  • Water and wastewater pumping station design.
  • Dam rehabilitation design.
  • General municipal consulting on a variety of projects.

Education/Experience:

  • B.S in Civil Engineering or a related field..
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or (EIT) preferred – not required.
  • 3+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • The ideal Civil Engineer will bring strong experience with water resource projects (Flood Control, Levee/Reservoir/Dam Design, Pipelines, Storage Facilities, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, Storm System Design, Irrigation Drainage Studies)
  • Interpret and apply applicable code requirements, prepare technical reports, work with permitting agencies, and perform construction administration duties.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred.
  • Self-starter with great communication skills and work ethic.
