INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

JOB DESCRIPTION

An established commercial design-build general contractor is seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Superintendent to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have strong ground-up industrial construction experience, excellent field leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, and commercial construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily field operations on industrial and commercial construction projects.

• Manage subcontractors, construction schedules, inspections, safety, and quality control.

• Supervise ground-up construction from sitework and foundations through project completion.

• Coordinate concrete, structural steel, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.

• Oversee industrial renovations, expansions, and occupied facility improvements.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, owners, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Monitor construction progress, resolve field issues, and maintain project schedules.

• Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial construction experience preferred.

• 5+ years of construction Superintendent experience preferred.

• Strong ground-up industrial general contracting experience.

• Experience with manufacturing facilities, automotive plants, warehouses, or distribution centers.

• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple construction trades.

• Knowledge of concrete, structural steel, and commercial MEP systems.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scheduling, and jobsite safety.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
