Tax Senior Manager - Private Client Services

Location: Chicago, IL

Overview

A large national accounting, tax and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its private client services practice in Chicago. You will oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, with an emphasis on clients in financial services such as hedge funds and private equity, while supervising a team and contributing to business development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of hedge fund K-1 treatment and a working understanding of trusts, estates, gifts and charitable entities
• Deliver tax planning, consulting and compliance solutions directly to clients
• Perform primary review of complex tax returns and maintain regular client communication
• Train, supervise and evaluate staff
• Pursue new client relationships and participate in client seminars
• Stay current on tax law changes and apply them to engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience serving high-net-worth individuals, including 8+ years of complex individual and business tax compliance
• Recent public accounting experience
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent required
• Master's in Taxation, business development experience and GoSystem or CCH Axcess experience preferred
