Project Manager | Commercial Construction
An award-winning Chicago area general contractor is hiring a Commercial Construction Project Manager who can turn a solid plan into a successful project. What You’ll Do
- Manage commercial construction projects from planning and procurement through turnover.
- Build and track project budgets, review costs, and maintain accurate financial forecasts.
- Handle subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, contracts, and change orders.
- Work alongside the superintendent to coordinate schedules, deliveries, and trade activities.
- Keep RFIs, submittals, and project documentation moving so the field has what it needs.
- Lead project meetings and keep owners, design teams, and subcontractors informed.
- Address issues promptly and follow through on commitments.
- Coordinate closeout documents, punch lists, and final billing.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience managing commercial construction projects with a general contractor.
- A working knowledge of construction drawings, contracts, scheduling, and job costing.
- Strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence communicating with owners, subcontractors, and field teams.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and accountability for results.
- Proficiency with construction project management software.
