Gpac is partnering with a respected engineering firm to find a Roadway Designer in Marietta, GA. You'll support transportation projects including roadway widening, intersection improvements, and new alignments for public and private clients. You'll develop plans, profiles, cross sections, and quantities, and work closely with engineers and project managers to produce accurate, high-quality plan sets from concept through construction. This is a strong opportunity to grow on meaningful infrastructure work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, and cross sections
- Prepare signing, striping, staging, and drainage plan sheets
- Calculate quantities and assist with cost estimates
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 2-5 years of roadway or transportation design experience
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Familiarity with GDOT standards is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
