Associate Attorney - San Diego, CA

A highly regarded boutique civil litigation firm in North San Diego is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its collaborative and supportive team. The firm focuses on complex business litigation, providing attorneys the opportunity to work on challenging, high-stakes matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil litigation attorney with 3–5 years of experience, ideally with a background in complex business litigation.The firm values work-life balance, with a reasonable 1600-hour billable target that supports a sustainable and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and litigate civil matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues on strategy, case management, and client communications

Qualifications

  • Active member of the California State Bar
  • 3–5 years of civil litigation experience (complex business litigation preferred)
  • Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage deadlines effectively
  • Demonstrated interest in professional growth and mentorship
