Sales Representative - Waste Water Treatment Systems

Baltimore, MD | Northern VA Area (Remote with Regional Travel)

As they continue to grow, they’re seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to join their team and play a pivotal role in expanding their reach and strengthening client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Position Overview:
Looking for a results-oriented sales professional with a strong technical background in wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will combine engineering knowledge with proven sales skills to support existing clients and drive new business development. You’ll act as a strategic partner to customers, understanding their technical challenges and offering tailored solutions that align with their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with municipal and industrial clients in the DC, Baltimore, and Northern VA areas.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process from lead generation to closing.
  • Provide technical expertise and product recommendations based on customer needs and application requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Polytec’s solutions and stay informed on market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the wastewater treatment industry or a similar technical field.
  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater processes, treatment equipment, and regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and travel within the assigned territory.
  • Must reside in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, or Northern Virginia area.
