Job Description

Pay: $25-$35/hour, plus daily overtime
Shift: 1st shift, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM, Monday-Saturday, with overtime

About the Role

A well-established beef processor in western Ohio is hiring a 1st Shift Wastewater Technician to run and maintain its on-site wastewater treatment system. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows wastewater chemistry and equipment and wants steady hours with plenty of overtime.

What You'll Do

• Run daily chemical drawdowns and jar tests to monitor chemical dosage in PPM
• Clean and calibrate pH probes daily, and log pH levels
• Monitor water flow and chemical delivery every hour, and adjust chemistry, flow and air as needed
• Inspect pumps for proper output and maintain pumps and wastewater equipment, including oiling and greasing
• Monitor incoming water pit and holding pit levels
• Track chemical usage and inventory, and order chemicals on time
• Keep the required logs (GEM, pH, chemical and water quality)
• Change out fat combos with a pallet jack as needed
• Follow all safety procedures

What You Bring

• Experience as a Wastewater Technician, Wastewater or Water Treatment Operator, or in a similar role (required)
• Comfort with pH testing, jar testing and chemical dosing
• Ability to work in cold, wet conditions around moving equipment
• Availability Monday through Saturday with daily overtime
• 18 or older and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Wastewater operator license a plus
