A well-established, full-service law firm in Kansas City with a strong regional presence is seeking a senior-level Construction Litigation Attorney to join and help expand its growing practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced litigator to step into a platform with existing work, strong internal support, and meaningful growth potential.

The Opportunity This role is ideal for a construction litigator looking to focus on sophisticated, high-value matters while building and deepening client relationships. The firm offers a collaborative environment, established infrastructure, and cross-selling opportunities to support practice growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Develop case strategy, oversee discovery, and handle depositions, motions, and trial work
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on construction-related disputes and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to expand the construction litigation practice
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development
  • Participate in business development and strengthen existing client relationships

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing in Missouri and preference of ability to waive into Kansas
  • Significant experience in construction and/or commercial litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • Portable business is welcomed but not required
