Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Pay: $35–$45/hour + $3.00 Shift Premium
A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations across the facility.
This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving complex equipment issues and working in a stable production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to maximize uptime
Perform preventive maintenance on fabrication equipment including welders, CNC machines, press brakes, and laser cutting systems
Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including motors, wiring, controls, and electrical panels
Read and interpret electrical schematics, machine drawings, and technical documentation
Maintain and repair overhead cranes and hoists, including mechanical and electrical components
Conduct crane inspections in accordance with OSHA and manufacturer requirements
Perform facility maintenance tasks including lighting repairs, compressed air systems, HVAC filter changes, and basic plumbing
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
Document maintenance activities and preventive maintenance in the ERP system
Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Provide occasional emergency or off-shift maintenance support as needed
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or electromechanical technology preferred
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V
Experience maintaining overhead cranes and hoists preferred
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures
Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance logs
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Certifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Arc Flash Safety Training
Lockout/Tagout certification
Forklift or overhead crane certification
Journeyman Electrician license (preferred but not required)
