Job Title: Commercial Drywall Traveling Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Traveling Project Manager with a strong background in commercial drywall and insulated metal panel (IMP) systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale industrial projects, including data centers and battery plants, from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires frequent travel to project sites nationwide and strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of drywall and IMP scope on large-scale commercial construction projects
Coordinate with GCs, owners, and internal teams to manage schedules, budgets, and scopes
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
Conduct regular project site visits to oversee progress, quality, and safety compliance
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met
Ensure delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Work with field superintendents and subcontractors to resolve issues proactively
Interface with estimators during preconstruction for budgeting and bid strategies
Lead project meetings with stakeholders and prepare progress reports
Enforce quality control, safety standards, and OSHA compliance
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in commercial drywall project management
Experience with insulated metal panel systems is required
Successful project experience with data centers and/or battery plants
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling (Microsoft Project/Primavera), and cost control
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the U.S.
Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
