Custom Applicator
Position Summary
The Custom Applicator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely application of crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizers, and other crop inputs for customers. This position operates and maintains application equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering exceptional customer service to area growers.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, crop protection products, and other crop inputs according to label requirements and customer specifications.
- Operate self-propelled sprayers, floaters, spreaders, tenders, and other application equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mix, load, transport, and handle agricultural chemicals and fertilizers following all safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on application equipment.
- Maintain accurate application records and comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Assist with agronomy operations, warehouse duties, and seasonal activities as needed.
- Build positive relationships with customers by providing reliable, professional service.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating agricultural application equipment preferred.
- Commercial Applicator License or ability to obtain one.
- CDL or ability to obtain a CDL preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.
