Job Title: Safety Coordinator Location: Dual Facilities in Kentucky & Indiana

Position Summary

We’re seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to champion workplace safety and compliance across our manufacturing operations in Kentucky and Indiana. This role is key to fostering a culture of safety-first, ensuring all employees go home healthy each day. Fluency in both English and Spanish is a gigantic PLUS - for communication and training across the diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments at both facilities.

  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed.

  • Deliver bilingual safety training programs, including new hire orientation, forklift safety, and PPE usage.

  • Act as the primary contact for all safety-related matters between employees and leadership.

  • Maintain accurate safety records (injury logs, training files, inspection reports).

  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.

  • Promote a safety-first culture through active engagement and continuous improvement.

  • Support workers’ compensation reporting and return-to-work programs.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – fluent verbal and written skills required.

  • Minimum 2 years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.

  • Ability to travel between facilities in Kentucky and Indiana as needed.

  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification preferred.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on role requiring a regular presence on the plant floor. The right candidate will be comfortable in industrial environments, engaging with employees at all levels to reinforce safety practices and build a culture of accountability.
