Litigation Attorney (5+ Years) – Confidential Opportunity | Pennsylvania

A well-established and highly respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its active and growing practice. This firm is recognized for its strong litigation bench, particularly in insurance defense and commercial matters, and offers a clear path for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation professional looking to work closely with senior leadership while handling sophisticated matters across state and federal courts.


The Opportunity

You will play a key role in supporting a busy litigation group, managing a diverse caseload with a focus on insurance defense, governmental representation, and commercial litigation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and trial work
  • Manage an active caseload, with a strong emphasis on federal court matters
  • Represent insurance defense clients, including:
    • School districts and board members
    • Municipalities and public officials
    • Governmental authorities and agencies
  • Advise corporate clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts
  • Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior leadership to deliver strong client outcomes

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
  • Demonstrated experience practicing in federal court
  • Background in insurance defense, including:
    • Civil rights litigation (e.g., Section 1983 claims)
    • EEOC and employment-related matters
    • Representation of governmental entities
    • General liability matters
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation, including depositions, discovery, and trial work (jury and non-jury)
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • $125,000 – $135,000 base salary
