Finance & Accounting Manager

Are you an experienced accounting leader who wants to own the numbers and help a growing, family-owned manufacturer make smart decisions? This role runs the full accounting and finance function, from reporting and budgeting to cash management and controls, and reports directly to the VP of Business Administration.

What you'll do

• Run day-to-day accounting, including the GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and reconciliations.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close, and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Build budgets, forecasts and financial models that support strategic planning.
• Track performance, cash flow and KPIs, explain variances, and give leadership clear recommendations.
• Keep records and reporting in line with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Manage banking relationships and cash flow.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while improving processes and systems.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. A CPA is preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software. ERP experience is a plus.
• Sharp analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude is a bonus.
• Discretion with confidential information.
