Looking to sell large-tonnage steel erection? An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector needs a permanent full-time Business Development Manager focused on Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons, earning $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives with regular Midwest travel.

Your focus

• Lead pursuits on structural steel packages for projects of 5,000+ tons
• Spend time on the road across the Midwest meeting clients and advancing pursuits
• Track bid timing, competitor activity, and the regional project pipeline
• Serve as the face of an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at industry functions
• Open doors with general contractors and owners for new steel erection work

You bring

• Background selling or developing business in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Comfort pursuing and landing Midwest projects of significant tonnage
• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
• An established network with general contractors, fabricators, or owners (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and a habit of closing the pipeline
