Education Program Specialist 

About the Role: We are seeking a driven and organized Education Program Specialist to lead, develop, and implement impactful educational programs within the agricultural community. This role is ideal for someone passionate about agriculture, youth development, and community engagement, with the ability to manage programs, build relationships, and drive initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee summer program staff and coordinate efforts with district and local education leaders
  • Manage and evaluate program budgets to ensure effective use of funds and continued funding opportunities
  • Develop and launch new education programs with leadership approval
  • Collaborate on annual program planning and budgeting
  • Provide regular reports and updates to leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with cooperatives, businesses, foundations, and community partners to support programming and funding efforts
  • Assist in securing grants and additional funding sources
  • Support membership growth initiatives tied to education programs
  • Participate in organizational events and outreach efforts
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, members, and the public
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and organizational image
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with database management and general office software
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Basic understanding of agriculture and/or agricultural organizations preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, including events and programming
  • Ability to remain accessible and responsive during working hours
