Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

A leading commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a proven field leader with strong commercial construction experience and the ability to manage complex projects, mentor field teams, and communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily on-site construction activities from project start through completion
  • Manage Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Coordinate trades, vendors, deliveries, and site logistics
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time
  • Enforce job site safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets plans and specifications
  • Resolve field issues and minimize project delays
  • Communicate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and leadership
  • Mentor and develop field staff while promoting accountability and teamwork

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent
  • Experience managing projects valued at $20M+ preferred
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, safety, and field operations
  • Experience with ground-up commercial construction, renovations, or design-build projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 per year
