We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who is confident in running daily accounting operations and excited to support future projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting (job cost) skills, construction industry experience, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, and Project teams.

A construction accounting manager performs tasks including project cost monitoring, budget and forecast development, financial reporting and analysis, cash flow management, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing internal controls to ensure financial health and profitability of construction projects and the company overall. T

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities: (Non-Negotiables)

The Accounting Manager must be able to:

  • Oversee and assist with core accounting functions: reporting, payroll, billing, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations, documentation, training and procedures.

  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial closings.

  • Apply knowledge of sales tax, AIA billing, accrual entries, inventory adjustments, and project close-outs.

  • Maintain proficiency in QuickBooks and ensure accurate financial data management.

  • Leverage prior construction industry experience to navigate project-based accounting requirements.

Accounting Manager Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial forecasting and planning.

  • Strong understanding of cash flow management and cash needs projections.
