Fiscal Director
Lead Financial Operations for a Mission-Driven Organization
A well-established nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is seeking an experienced Fiscal Director to lead financial operations and support the organization’s continued growth and success.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leadership role is ideal for a finance professional with expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Compensation
Salary: $95,000-$115,000 annually, based on experience.

- Prepare accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain cost accounting systems and oversee budget compliance.
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard organizational assets.
- Oversee billing processes and support accurate revenue reporting.
- Conduct internal financial reviews and improve financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with benefit plan administration and required financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
Preferred
- Master’s degree or CPA.
- Supervisory experience.
- Background in nonprofit, healthcare, government, or human services finance.
- Knowledge of IDD services, funding models, or human services financial reporting.
- Experience with auditing and Sage accounting software.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite leadership position requiring occasional travel between local program locations.
