About the Role
A well-established commercial property restoration company in Tysons, Virginia is hiring a Commercial / Large Loss Estimator to scope and write insurance estimates for commercial water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm losses across the Washington, D.C. metro. You'll inspect office buildings, multifamily properties, retail, healthcare, schools, and other commercial sites, build accurate Xactimate estimates for large-loss mitigation and reconstruction projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 million, and work with adjusters, consultants, and property managers to get scopes and supplements approved. If you're a seasoned commercial restoration estimator who knows your line items, can hold your ground on a large-loss claim, and takes pride in a clean, defensible estimate, this is a long-term career move.

- Follow carrier, TPA, and company estimating guidelines, and keep job files and documentation current (DASH, MICA, Encircle, or similar)
- Hand off approved jobs to the production team with a clear scope, and coordinate with mitigation and reconstruction crews so estimates match field conditions
- Track estimates against job budgets and protect margin on every job
- Build and maintain relationships with adjusters, property management firms, and other commercial referral sources
