Job Description

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is adding a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to win large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Pay runs $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the role includes Midwest travel.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the road across the Midwest meeting clients and advancing pursuits
• Find and develop new steel erection opportunities with owners and general contractors across the Midwest
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and at industry events
• Track bid timing, competitor activity, and the regional project pipeline
• Drive strategy on large structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest
• Clear, confident communication and proven follow-through on opportunities
• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners are a plus
• Comfort pursuing and landing Midwest projects of significant tonnage
