Flexographic Wide Web Press Operator (UTECI OREX)

Location: Michigan Industry: Printing | Packaging | Flexible Packaging Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: [Day / Night / Rotating]

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Flexographic Wide Web Press Operator to operate and maintain a UTECI OREX wide web flexographic press producing high-quality printed packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have strong press setup, color management, and troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain a UTECI OREX wide web flexographic press

  • Review job tickets, artwork, and specifications to ensure accurate press setup

  • Mount plates, anilox rolls, inks, and substrates according to job requirements

  • Perform color matching, registration, and impression adjustments

  • Monitor press performance to ensure consistent print quality and minimal waste

  • Troubleshoot press, ink, substrate, and mechanical issues during production runs

  • Complete quality checks and documentation throughout production

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment

  • Work closely with prepress, quality, and maintenance teams

  • Follow all safety, quality, and GMP standards

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating wide web flexographic presses

  • Physical & Work Environment

     

  • Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Exposure to inks, solvents, noise, and moving machinery

  • Manufacturing/printing facility environment
