We are seeking a motivated Defense Litigation Attorney to join a well-respected civil litigation firm in Huntington, West Virginia. What You'll Do

  • Handle a variety of civil litigation defense matters, including insurance defense, employment law, and insurance coverage disputes
  • Manage cases from initial evaluation through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and case strategy development
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and professional development

What We're Looking For

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in West Virginia (or ability to obtain)
  • Litigation experience preferred, particularly in insurance defense or civil litigation
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage cases independently while working within a collaborative team environment
