Job Description

A fast-growing precision machining company is seeking a CNC Swiss Machinist to join a team known for its modern equipment, strong craftsmanship, and commitment to employee development.

Position Overview

The Swiss Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist looking for a stable company, consistent schedule, and the ability to earn additional income through uncapped overtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic programming edits
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure quality standards are met
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience operating and/or setting up Swiss lathes
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and tight tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measurement tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday work schedule with 1st and 2nd shifts available (4-day work week)
  • Fridays available for optional overtime (no cap on OT)
