Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation

A well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain substantial hands-on experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment handling a broad range of litigation matters.

The firm represents clients in complex civil disputes and provides associates with meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and case development

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active admission in New Jersey and New York
  • 1–5 years of civil litigation experience preferred
  • Experience in insurance defense, commercial litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, or related litigation areas is a plus
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment
