Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Programmer to support CNC programming and manufacturing documentation within our Engineering Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring precise, cost-effective production and reliable manufacturing processes in a dynamic job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CNC equipment (Tanaka lasers, Kinetic burn tables) using Sigmanest.
  • Develop internal bills of material (BOMs) and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Create and maintain detailed drawings and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Generate material take-offs and run times to support estimating and job costing.
  • Collaborate with engineers, estimators, suppliers, and shop personnel to support design changes, improve productivity, and reduce operating costs.
  • Provide technical support for CNC operators and assist with troubleshooting programming issues on the shop floor.
  • Maintain accurate records of programs, tooling, drawings, and process changes.
  • Evaluate variances between estimated and actual production operations and coordinate with Estimating and Engineering to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support ISO 9001 quality initiatives and documentation standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Programming, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years programming experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in Sigmanest, and SolidWorks (2019 or newer).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and job shop production processes.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills; GD&T knowledge a plus.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe products.

  • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
