Position Overview

The firm is looking for an attorney with 4+ years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to healthcare-related matters. Familiarity with the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act is preferred but not required. This role involves a mix of healthcare litigation, professional liability, and compliance work, offering meaningful client engagement and hands-on responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle healthcare and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution

  • Conduct legal research and deliver clear, persuasive written work

  • Prepare and argue motions; draft pleadings, discovery, and appellate briefs

  • Appear in court, attend depositions, and meet with clients throughout Indiana

  • Maintain strong, responsive client relationships

  • Collaborate with colleagues on firm initiatives, presentations, and business development

  • Stay informed on evolving healthcare regulations and industry developments

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

  • Active bar admission (Indiana preferred)

  • 4+ years of litigation or civil litigation experience

  • Experience with the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act is a plus

  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills

  • Professional, client-focused communication style

  • Willingness to travel within Indiana as needed
