We are actively seeking a motivated CAD Operator (Entry-Level) to support a growing portfolio of construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals early in their careers who are looking to develop their skills in CAD and BIM while contributing to real-world construction projects. The right candidate will assist in developing drawings, coordinating models, and supporting project teams throughout the construction lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project management and field teams to support project execution
- Develop 2D installation and detail drawings from 3D models or sketches
- Create electrical floor plans, elevations, and one-line riser diagrams
- Assist in building and coordinating 3D models with internal teams and external partners
- Participate in site surveys and incorporate field data into drawings and models
- Support spool drawing creation and coordination with prefabrication efforts
- Attend weekly project meetings and provide updates on BIM progress and coordination tasks
- Work with BIM leadership to support strategy and execution across multiple projects
Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in the electrical construction or drafting industry
- Basic proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Revit and Navisworks preferred
- Exposure to tools such as Leica, Matterport, or Trimble is a plus
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, including clearances and code requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Willingness to learn and apply industry codes and standards in modeling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in drafting or a related field
- Internship or coursework related to CAD/BIM or construction technology
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60K – $80K (Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors)
