Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate (4+ Years)

About the Opportunity: A highly regarded Am Law 200 firm is seeking multiple Commercial Litigation Associates to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for mid-level attorneys looking to take on substantive responsibility in a collaborative, professional environment, with a clear path to partnership.
Position Overview: The firm is actively hiring multiple associates. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial litigation experience and the ability to contribute immediately with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Participate in discovery, depositions, and client communications
Collaborate with partners and team members on complex litigation matters
Qualifications:
4+ years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
Strong writing and analytical skills (writing sample required)
Ability to manage cases independently and “hit the ground running”
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Illinois (in good standing)
Compensation:
$210,000 – $250,000 (based on experience)
Bonus structure includes billable-based, discretionary, and origination components
Hours & Schedule:
Billable Requirement: 1,800 hours
Includes up to 50 pro bono hours
Includes up to 100 CLE/professional development hours
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote
