Job Description

GPAC is working with a firm in Indianapolis that is looking to add an Account Manager/CAS Manager/Outsourced Controller to their team.

This is a client-facing accounting leadership role with accountability for the complete, accurate, and timely delivery of recurring accounting and advisory services for an assigned portfolio of business-owner clients. This person will oversee monthly close processes, perform final accounting review, own client relationships, lead recurring financial meetings, translate financial information into meaningful business insight, and direct the work of the team members supporting each client.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Client Accounting Services, outsourced accounting, public accounting, outsourced controllership, or another multi-client accounting environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong experience overseeing monthly close processes and performing final review of reconciliations, journal entries, workpapers, and financial statements
• Demonstrated ability to identify accounting issues, direct appropriate corrections, and determine when financial information is ready for client delivery
• Experience owning multiple external client relationships, recurring deliverables, deadlines, and service expectations simultaneously
• Experience leading client meetings and clearly explaining financial results to business owners
• Working knowledge of budgeting, budget-to-actual reporting, KPI reporting, and cash-flow analysis
• Experience assigning, coordinating, and reviewing work completed by accounting and administrative team members
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant credential is preferred, but not required

**Candidates must have meaningful experience in Client Accounting Services, outsourced accounting, public accounting, outsourced controllership, or another environment where they were directly accountable for multiple external client relationships and deliverables at the same time. A Controller title alone does not meet this requirement.
