LASER MACHINE OPERATOR
The laser technician is responsible for setup and operation of the Laser machine, rollers, brake presses and other machines necessary within the weld/fabrication department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program, setup, and operate the Laser cutter. Operate rollers, brake presses and machine polishers
Read, verify, and understand blue prints and measurements in job traveler Work and program in Mastercam software.
Keep up-to-date on new software specific to laser machine
Work with Project Managers, Shop Foreman, Drafters, and Team Lead to ensure accuracy and job success
Understand current job and machine processes Manage inventory of material for designated machines
Follow direction from Team Lead, Shop Foreman, and General Manager to facilitate work processes
Maintain a clean work space including regular cleaning of machines and equipment.
Qualifications
5 years of machining experience
Proficient in Mastercam, at least 1 year experience
Completion of a machining program from an accredited trade school
