Job Title: Health Care & Pharmaceutical Litigation Attorney
Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles, Emeryville, or Remote in California
A nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an experienced Health Care & Pharmaceutical Litigation Attorney to join its complex litigation team. The firm is a leader in large-scale, multi-district litigation (MDL) and represents major insurers and institutional clients in high-stakes cases involving pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge litigation that sits at the intersection of antitrust, healthcare, and consumer protection—advancing accountability and fairness in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
The healthcare and pharmaceutical litigation team focuses on complex matters such as:
Drug and device price-fixing and overcharge recovery
Defective drugs and medical product reimbursement actions
Fraud, waste, and abuse claims, including Medicare overpayment recovery
Off-label prescription reimbursement litigation
Class actions and MDLs involving anticompetitive conduct and false advertising
Manage all stages of litigation, from case investigation through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Draft and argue motions, including those related to class certification, summary judgment, and discovery disputes.
Work closely with experts, co-counsel, and clients to develop case strategy and damages models.
Conduct and defend depositions, manage document discovery, and oversee case teams.
Participate in settlement negotiations, arbitrations, and appellate matters.
4+ years of complex litigation experience, preferably involving healthcare, pharmaceutical, antitrust, or class action matters.
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
Experience managing discovery, depositions, and complex motion practice.
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-office litigation teams.
Active admission to at least one U.S. state bar; additional admissions a plus.
Work on nationally significant healthcare and pharmaceutical litigation with major institutional clients.
