A mid-size, insurance defense firm is seeking Associate Attorneys for its St. Louis office to support both local and national accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic litigation team known for its collaborative approach, client responsiveness, and high-quality legal work.
Admission to practice in Missouri is required, and preference will be given to candidates also admitted in Illinois, Texas, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, or Iowa.
This respected mid-size firm offers the resources and sophistication of a national practice while maintaining the accessibility and flexibility of a smaller organization. The firm represents clients in matters involving toxic tort, complex product liability, general liability, and professional liability litigation.
This is a hands-on litigation role ideal for an attorney with strong case management and courtroom skills. The position requires independence, strategic thinking, and a high level of professionalism in written and oral advocacy.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a diverse litigation caseload independently
Conducting and defending depositions
Drafting and arguing motions
Handling discovery, trial preparation, and client reporting
Appearing in court for hearings and trials across multiple jurisdictions
Preparing witnesses and supporting trial strategy development
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
4–8 years of litigation experience
Active admission in Missouri (additional admissions in IL, MI, IN, IA, WI, or TX are highly valued)
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Experience with motion practice and depositions (lead experience preferred)
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Self-motivated with a client-centered, team-oriented mindset
Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
Additional performance-based bonus opportunities are available.
