As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join our team.
The Customs Entry Writer will manage and process customs entries, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and facilitating the flow of goods across borders.
Responsibilities:
Customs Documentation: Prepare and submit import/export documents for customs clearance (entry forms, invoices, bills of lading).
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to CBP regulations, international trade laws, and industry standards.
Client Liaison: Communicate with clients regarding clearance status, document requirements, and potential delays.
Troubleshooting: Address issues with shipments, entries, and paperwork to prevent delays or fines.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and ensure timely filing.
Audit Support: Assist in audits and identify areas for improvement in customs processes.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 5 years in customs entry writing, freight brokerage, and border customs.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of CBP regulations and international trade laws.
Skills: Proficient in customs software (e.g., ABI) and familiarity with logistics tools.
Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex documentation accurately.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
