Position: Workers’ Compensation Associate
Location: Athens or Atlanta, Georgia
Experience: 1–5 Years

About the Opportunity:
A reputable and growing law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate to join their Georgia team. This position offers the option to work from either the Athens or Atlanta office while collaborating closely with a small, highly skilled Atlanta-based group.

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of workers’ compensation experience and the ability to manage claims from intake through resolution with minimal supervision. This is a great opportunity for someone who values autonomy, strong mentorship, and a supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from start to finish

  • Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery

  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations

  • Collaborate with the Atlanta team while contributing to a positive, team-focused environment

  • Maintain organized, efficient case management practices

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • 1–5 years of workers’ compensation experience

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
