About the Opportunity:
A reputable and growing law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate to join their Georgia team. This position offers the option to work from either the Athens or Atlanta office while collaborating closely with a small, highly skilled Atlanta-based group.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of workers’ compensation experience and the ability to manage claims from intake through resolution with minimal supervision. This is a great opportunity for someone who values autonomy, strong mentorship, and a supportive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from start to finish
Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations
Collaborate with the Atlanta team while contributing to a positive, team-focused environment
Maintain organized, efficient case management practices
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
1–5 years of workers’ compensation experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
