Litigation Associate Attorney Position Overview: A well-established insurance defense firm with offices throughout California is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its San Diego office. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to build a strong foundation in insurance defense litigation within a supportive and community-oriented environment. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on litigation experience across a range of insurance defense matters, with mentorship and long-term growth opportunities within a highly respected firm

Responsibilities:

• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, assist with trial preparation if needed

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Assist in strategy development and client communications

• Manage caseload and deadlines with attention to detail

• Collaborate with team members on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school preferred but not required

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar

• Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills

• Excellent communication and analytical abilities

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
