Survey Manager

Location: Chicago, IL – O’Hare Area

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the survey team, including scheduling survey crews

  • Pursue prospective clients and survey assignments to grow the department

  • Prepare survey documents (Plats, Legal Descriptions) and coordinate with design staff

  • Manage survey projects, including budgets, staffing, invoicing, and contracts

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships

  • Ensure QA/QC of all survey work

  • Provide field support as needed

  • Collaborate with other offices on survey tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in surveying and managing projects with IDOT, City of Chicago, municipalities, and private developers

  • Illinois PLS registration required

  • MicroStation and/or Civil3D experience preferred

  • Experience with Trimble survey equipment/software a plus

  • Proven track record in business development

  • Prior management experience strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $110,000–$145,000 (based on experience, education, and skill set)
