Associate Attorney – Employment Law - San Francisco, CA

A premier multi-state law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–8 years of employment law defense experience to join its growing team in San Francisco, CA. This position focuses primarily on single-plaintiff employment litigation matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, with a focus on single-plaintiff defense matters
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and court proceedings
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and litigation planning
  • Participate in trial preparation and support, including witness preparation and exhibit development
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates, legal analysis, and strategic advice
  • Maintain compliance with firm standards and deadlines across multiple active matters

Qualifications:

  • 3–8 years of employment law defense experience in single-plaintiff litigation
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently
  • Exceptional writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
