Associate Attorney - Business Litigation - California/Remote

A premier litigation firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate with 3–7 years of experience to join a dynamic team representing banks, financial institutions, and consumer lending companies. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with sophisticated teams and handle complex litigation matters from inception to resolution. The practice focuses on the defense of consumer-related claims in state and federal courts, including individual claims defense, class action defense in California and multiple other jurisdictions, cases involving retail and online banking, mortgage lending, and credit card disputes.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage complex litigation cases with direct client interaction
  • Draft and argue motions, handle discovery, and participate in depositions
  • Participate in arbitrations, bench trials, and occasional jury trials
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys across the team in a highly supportive, hands-on environment
  • Build and strengthen client relationships, with firm-supported business development opportunities

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of complex business litigation experience; consumer finance or financial institution litigation preferred
  • Big law training for a portion of your career strongly preferred
  • Strong motion practice experience; exposure to depositions and discovery required
  • California Bar admission required
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
