Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and related family law matters.
- Defend clients in petty crime and other various criminal cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in related legal areas.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member or pending admission with the Alabama State Bar Association.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience, experience or desire to learn family law
- Proven ability to handle cases from start to finish, including courtroom litigation.
- Strong understanding of Washington family law statutes and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client representation.
- Technological proficiency.
