Job Description

An established precision manufacturer is seeking an experienced Wire EDM Operator with strong setup, machining, and inspection skills. This position requires someone who can independently set up and operate Wire EDM equipment, work from detailed blueprints, maintain tight tolerances, and troubleshoot machining issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust Wire EDM machines to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Load and fixture workpieces and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Monitor cutting operations and make program or offset adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other team members to resolve production concerns.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow established quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous Wire EDM experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently set up and operate Wire EDM equipment with minimal supervision.
• Strong blueprint reading and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, comparators, and precision inspection equipment.
• Ability to machine and inspect components to tight tolerances.
• Comfortable making machine adjustments and troubleshooting basic machining issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing team.
