Job Summary
The Field Service Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical testing projects in compliance with NETA standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, field technicians, and internal teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical testing projects from award through completion
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, equipment, and travel for field crews
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders
- Ensure all testing is performed in compliance with NETA ATS/MTS standards
- Review and approve test reports, documentation, and deliverables
- Monitor project budgets, labor hours, and cost controls
- Support field technicians with technical guidance and problem resolution
- Enforce safety programs, including NFPA 70E and company safety policies
- Identify change orders, scope changes, and project risks
- Support continuous improvement in field service operations
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- NETA Level II or III Certification preferred
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E required or preferred
Experience
- 5+ years in electrical testing, power systems, or field service operations
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience managing medium and low voltage testing projects
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project planning and organizational skills
- Excellent customer communication and leadership abilities
- Working knowledge of electrical testing equipment and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with project tracking and reporting tools
