A respected regional law firm is seeking a General Liability Attorney to join its litigation team in Washington. This is an opportunity to handle sophisticated, high-value cases while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative, well-supported environment.
The firm is looking for a mid-level attorney who can independently manage files, take ownership of cases, and contribute to litigation strategy from early stages through resolution.
Handle a broad range of general liability matters, including personal injury, property damage, and premises liability claims
Manage cases from initial intake through settlement, mediation, or trial preparation
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery
Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings
Evaluate liability exposure and advise clients on strategy and risk
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations
Collaborate with partners, associates, and staff to deliver efficient case outcomes
Stay current on Washington liability law and procedural rules
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association
3–8 years of experience in general liability, insurance defense, or civil litigation
Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
Experience managing a litigation caseload with increasing autonomy
Deposition and court experience required
Trial experience is a plus but not required
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
