Attorney: Insurance Defense & Personal Injury Litigation

Position Summary
We are seeking an Attorney with 3–7 years of experience focused on Insurance Defense and Personal Injury litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will take meaningful ownership of cases, work closely with senior partners, and contribute to our tradition of excellence in civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and personal injury matters in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, status reports, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues related to civil defense and liability.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Work directly with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel to develop and execute litigation strategy.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with judges, clients, and colleagues.
• Assist in post-trial activities and appellate briefing when needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois (or eligible for admission).
• 3–7 years of litigation experience with a primary focus on insurance defense and personal injury law.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent judgment, professionalism, and a strong commitment to client service.
• Ability to manage independent responsibilities while collaborating as part of a team.
