Job Title: Bankruptcy Associate – Preference Litigation Level: Mid to Senior-Level Associate Location: Fully Remote
Overview: A well-established bankruptcy practice is seeking an experienced associate to focus primarily on preference work. This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident working independently, requires minimal training, and has a strong background in Chapter 11 matters with significant hands-on preference litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle preference actions from inception through resolution
Analyze avoidance claims and defenses
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documentation
Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
Manage cases independently in a remote environment
Qualifications:
Approximately 8+ years of Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience
Substantial time spent specifically on preference actions
Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Strong legal writing, analytical, and case management skills
Prior remote work experience preferred (or demonstrated ability to work independently)
Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
