Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines in a precision machining environment. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure the production of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines for new and existing parts.

  • Program new parts and edit G-code as needed to optimize machining processes.

  • Interpret and work from complex blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.

  • Select appropriate tooling and fixturing for various machining operations.

  • Estimate and optimize machining cycle times.

  • Quote new parts based on material, complexity, and machining requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with vendors to procure tooling and enhance machining efficiency.

  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Maintain high attention to detail and commitment to quality throughout the production process.

  • Work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of CNC horizontal/vertical milling experience in a precision machining environment.

  • Proficiency in CNC programming and setup of new parts.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.

  • Familiarity with CAM software and G-code editing.

  • Demonstrated experience in quoting new parts, determining cycle times, tooling, and fixturing requirements.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong technical background with a problem-solving mindset.
