Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines in a precision machining environment. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure the production of high-quality parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines for new and existing parts.
Program new parts and edit G-code as needed to optimize machining processes.
Interpret and work from complex blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.
Select appropriate tooling and fixturing for various machining operations.
Estimate and optimize machining cycle times.
Quote new parts based on material, complexity, and machining requirements.
Work collaboratively with vendors to procure tooling and enhance machining efficiency.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain high attention to detail and commitment to quality throughout the production process.
Work independently as well as part of a fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of CNC horizontal/vertical milling experience in a precision machining environment.
Proficiency in CNC programming and setup of new parts.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.
Familiarity with CAM software and G-code editing.
Demonstrated experience in quoting new parts, determining cycle times, tooling, and fixturing requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong technical background with a problem-solving mindset.
