Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and versatile General Manager to take ownership of our cabinetry shop’s operations, sales, design, and project coordination. This is a hands-on leadership role critical to unlocking the company’s full potential and significantly increasing revenue. The successful candidate will combine operational expertise with strong sales and design skills to scale the business efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the cabinetry shop’s daily operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Develop and execute strategies to grow sales significantly.
Personally engage in sales efforts, including client consultations, quoting, negotiation, and closing, to boost revenue.
Work closely with customers to create tailored cabinetry designs using CAD or other design software, ensuring client satisfaction.
Coordinate and oversee projects from initial design through fabrication and installation, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
Optimize inventory management and supplier relationships to support increased production demands.
Build, mentor, and lead a motivated team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Analyze financial and operational metrics regularly to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency gains.
Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain and enhance client relationships and reputation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in cabinetry, woodworking, manufacturing, or related industries, with at least 3-5 years in a management role.
Demonstrated success in growing sales and managing operations in a production environment.
Strong sales acumen with a hands-on approach to client engagement and relationship building.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision) is highly preferred.
Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire and lead a production and sales team.
Deep understanding of cabinetry materials, fabrication techniques, and installation best practices.
