Safety Manager – Civil Excavation & Site Development

A growing and well-respected civil contractor is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations across excavation, grading, underground utilities, and site preparation projects. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across multiple active job sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with crews, and driving proactive safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • • Lead and enforce company-wide safety programs and procedures
  • • Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • • Ensure OSHA and company compliance standards are me
  • t• Coordinate and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs
  • • Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
  • • Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • • Work closely with field teams, superintendents, and project managers
  • • Promote a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • • 5+ years of construction safety experience preferred
  • • Experience within civil, excavation, grading, or heavy construction required
  • • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and excavation safety standards
  • • OSHA 30 required; additional certifications are a plus
  • • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • • Ability to manage multiple active jobsites
