Audit Manager – West Des Moines, IA

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple audit engagements across a diverse client base including manufacturing, agriculture, financial institutions, and not-for-profits

  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, fostering professional growth and technical excellence

  • Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and professional standards

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing proactive, clear communication and strategic insight

  • Manage audit engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and firm standards

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of audit methodologies, training, and quality control initiatives


Qualifications

  • CPA license required

  • Minimum 6+ years of public accounting experience with significant external audit exposure

  • Proven leadership skills managing teams and client relationships

  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles

  • Deep understanding of Iowa’s business environment and industries preferred

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
